Week 14 - Autumn smells good

Say hello to Week 14 :D

The summer is not officially over yet, but the cool autumn wind already marked the beginning of a new season. As the August was coming to an end, the skies cracked open and down came pouring heavy rain. After a 2 month long dry season, we all received it with childlike excitement. The familiar smell of that humid air and wet asphalt, brought with it the anticipation of change... We could feel it in our bodies. Autumn came.

And with autumn came autumn activities.
We were busy and there was much to do, but we somehow made the ends meet, as we always do and we managed to have a lot of fun along the way.

Let me take you through our "Week 14" Agenda:
  • Help the elderly in their gardens + meet new elderly families and help them too
  • Collect and process the Cornelian cherries
  • Work on the garden design and prepare the base map
  • Get on with the solidarity project - select venue, prepare the taster class and design + print out the flyers and posters
  • Squeeze in organization meeting or two... or three
  • Clean water channels on the East and West side
  • Harvest figs
  • Attend and help at the Shipka Fest
You'll be surprised to hear that we actually managed to check all of the activities off the list. More or less :D

Here are some photos. Not all of them, but some. I thought you might need them to believe me when I say - we really did all that.

Week 14 was a real treat. But now brace yourselves, because Week 15 is coming, bringing to you more autumn goodies.
Stay tuned :D
